Job Description: The Quality Assurance Technician will play a crucial role in driving the company's success by handling daily quality testing, auditing, and communication throughout the strapping production process. The Quality Assurance Technician will be responsible for specified final product testing, conducting quality audits, inspection of incoming raw materials, managing containment of defective product, monitoring at-risk process parameters, and validating final goods prior to shipment.

Final Product Testing
Completing first article inspection for process startups and changeovers
Product and process within specification
Previously packaged goods and materials removed from line
Sample retains tested and stored accordingly
Ensures compliance with at-risk testing processing
Increased sampling frequency
Sample re-tests and specification verification
Final visual inspection and verification of conformance
Quality Auditing
Routine sampling and testing of all production lines
Routine quality auditing measuring accuracy and performance of operator testing
Raw Material Inspection
Routine inspection of incoming resins
FTIR Testing
MFI/IV Testing
Apparent Density Testing
Moisture Analysis
Dust Analysis
Routine inspection of incoming packaging material
Core specifications
Foil specification
Labeling specifications
Oversight for containment of defective product
Oversees containment of defective product including finished goods and work in progress
Approves conformance to prime production after defective product identified
Updates control records for inventory adjustments and re-work
Monitoring at-risk process parameters
Reviews process parameters and determines reactions plans necessary for at risk conditions
Monitors CTQ parameters for material pre-processing equipment
Validating finished goods
Validating finished goods are properly packaged and labeled
Verifies correct order picking prior to shipment
Validates conformance of final product and issues COA
Qualifications:
Required:
Strong safety focus
Experience in in a quality control environment
Strong computer skills and familiar with Microsoft Windows applications.
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, and comfortable speaking in front of large groups. Able to read and write in English.
Willing to obtain Lean Six Sigma certifications.
Ability to keep neat and organized records and files with attention to detail.
Able to perform basic physical tasks such as lifting 50lbs.
Willing to work an on shift 2-2-3 schedule
Preferred:
Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standard
Lean Six Sigma Green, Black, or MBB Certification
Experience with plastic manufacturing
Experience with testing in a laboratory setting.
Bilingual; Spanish and English
