POSITION OVERVIEW

EAM-Mosca de Mexico is the Mexican subsidiary of EAM-Mosca Corp., a U.S.-based manufacturer and supplier of industrial End-of-Line packaging systems, equipment, consumables, spare parts and technical services.

EAM-Mosca de Mexico (the “Company”) is entering a significant phase of growth. In addition to its established sales, service and aftermarket activities, the company now operates its own strap manufacturing plant, as a subsidiary Mosca Fleje de Mexico, and is expanding its capabilities with plans for machine assembly and additional manufacturing activities. The Mexican business is expected to grow substantially in the coming years, both in its workforce and overall operations, with opportunities to support customers and markets across the Americas.

As such, EAM-Mosca de México is seeking a hands-on Plant Controller to lead the Company’s accounting and financial reporting functions. This position is responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the Company’s local accounting records, timely financial reporting, manufacturing cost accounting, internal controls, budgeting and forecasting support, and compliance with Mexican statutory, tax, payroll, and other local regulatory requirements. The role supports multiple entities.

The Plant Controller will work closely with the Finance leadership team of EAM-Mosca Corp., the Company’s U.S. parent company, on financial reporting, company initiatives, and the alignment of financial policies, procedures, and controls. As such, the Plant Controller must be highly proficient in English, with the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, regarding complex accounting, financial, and organizational topics.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Accounting, Reporting, Treasury & Compliance
  • Manage all accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Inventory/Cost Accounting, Payroll, Fixed Assets, and Intercompany Transactions.
  • Manage the month-end closing process and prepare/review journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly entity-level and consolidated financial statements and other management reports.
  • Prepare the annual budget and quarterly rolling forecasts of income statements, balance sheets, and statements of cash flows.
  • Manage relationships with third-party auditors and tax consultants, as well as the consolidated group’s auditors.
  • Oversee compliance related to SAT, IVA/VAT, payroll taxes, IMSS, INFONAVIT, state payroll taxes, CFDI, and other applicable local requirements; complete monthly/annual statutory reporting.
  • Monitor working capital and manage banking and credit relationships.
Manufacturing, Inventory & Cost Accounting
  • Own and manage the annual physical inventory process.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Operations to validate the accuracy of bills of materials, labor routings, and standard costs for labor, overhead, and raw materials.
  • Analyze and review manufacturing, inventory, and purchase price variances.
  • Evaluate inventory for excess and obsolescence.
Leadership, Controls & Business Support
  • Train and supervise direct reports and support their continued professional development.
  • Share best practices across the EAM finance team, including process improvements, financial modeling, and procedural changes.
  • Provide proactive consultation, interpretation, and education regarding complex financial and operational matters to departmental leaders to support informed business decisions.
  • Monitor and implement plant internal controls, in conjunction with EAM policies, as necessary to ensure reporting integrity, safeguard Company assets, and identify risks.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
 
  • 10 years of accounting experience, including at least 5 years of experience in a Plant Controller role within a manufacturing and/or assembly environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
  • MBA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
  • Extensive experience with cost accounting, manufacturing variance analysis, budgeting/forecasting, and inventory management.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Mexican Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and U.S. GAAP.
  • Highly proficient in working with data sets in Microsoft Excel and other business intelligence (BI) tools.
  • Experience with ERP systems (AS400/VAI, SAP, Oracle, similar).
  • Bilingual; Fluent Spanish and strong English communication skills required.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to work collaboratively with stakeholders throughout the organization. Collaborative and effective within an Americas matrix organization.
  • Able to balance local business needs with consistency across the EAM-Mosca Group.
  • A trusted business partner who can appropriately challenge site leadership.
  • Limited periodic travel to other Company locations may be required.
